Woodrow Wilson District Ruritans
It is with great sadness to announce that our Woodrow Wilson District Assigned National Director passed away this morning, June 12, 2017. Camille and I got to spend the day with her all day yesterday for the Appomattox Summer Picnic and AVR June meeting. She will be greatly missed.
Arrangements for our beloved Betty Moore:
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16 from 6-8pm at Whittens Funeral Home, Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Rd. Lynchburg, VA. A Celebration of Betty's life will be held on Saturday, June 17, at 3pm at the New Chapel Baptist Church, 2084 New Chapel Rd. Rustburg, VA.
In lieu o flowers the family requests that donations be made in Betty's memory to the Betty Moore Education Fund at the Ruritan National Foundation. Donations can be mailed to Ruritan National Foundation P.O. Box 487 Dublin, VA 24084. Please not it for Fund #1905.
Two Lt. Governors: Woodrow Wilson District's Lt. Governor Wes Maupin and Commonwealth of Virginia Lt. Governor Ralph Northam sharing a laugh at the Stonewall Ruritan club after eating a breakfast of sausage and pancakes this past Saturday. Lt. Governor Northam was in Highland County to enjoy the Maple Festival.
